    From the city center of Nuwara Eliya, start at the Post Office located on Queen Elizabeth Drive. Head south on Queen Elizabeth Drive for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with the A5 road. Turn left onto the A5 road and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the famous Nuwara Eliya Golf Club on your right. Continue straight, and as you approach the outskirts of Nuwara Eliya, look for signs directing you to Kandy. After about 1.5 kilometers, take a right onto the Sangamitta Mawatha road. The Udawatta Kele Sanctuary is located along this road, approximately 300 meters ahead on your left.

    Find a tuk-tuk stand near the city center of Nuwara Eliya, such as near the Post Office on Queen Elizabeth Drive. Inform the driver that you want to go to Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, located at the Forest Department Office on Sangamitta Mawatha. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the sanctuary entrance, which is approximately 3 kilometers from the city center.

    From the Nuwara Eliya bus station, catch a bus heading towards Kandy. Make sure to ask the conductor to drop you off at Sangamitta Mawatha, specifically at the Forest Department Office stop. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off the bus, the Udawatta Kele Sanctuary is just a short walk down the road, about 300 meters to your left.
