Car
From the center of Polonnaruwa, head east on the A11 road. Follow the signs for Minneriya National Park. After approximately 20 km (about 30 minutes), you will arrive at the entrance to Minneriya National Park. There may be an entrance fee of around 3,000 LKR for foreigners. Ensure you have cash ready.

From Polonnaruwa bus station, take a bus heading towards Habarana. Make sure to ask the conductor to drop you at the Minneriya entrance. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes and costs around 50 LKR.
