Walking
If you are starting from the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum, exit the museum and turn right onto the main road (Bund Rd). Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the signposts indicating the direction to Potgul Temple. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a small road branching off to the left. Take this left turn and walk straight for another 500 meters. At the end of this road, you will find Potgul Temple on your right.

If you have rented a bicycle in Polonnaruwa, start from the city center and head towards the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum. Once you reach the museum, turn right onto Bund Rd. Cycle straight for about 1 kilometer, passing local shops and small cafes. Look for the signposts for Potgul Temple. After 1 kilometer, take the left turn into the small road and continue cycling for another 500 meters. The temple will be on your right.
