Getting There

  • Walking

    From Östermalm, head southwest towards Karlaplan. Walk straight down Karlavägen until you reach Nybroplan. Continue walking until you reach the waterfront. From Nybroplan, follow the waterfront promenade along Nybroviken, enjoying the scenic views. Once you reach the end of the promenade, cross the bridge (Strömkajen) to Gamla Stan. After crossing, walk straight for about 10-15 minutes until you see the Royal Palace ahead on your right. The address is Kungliga slottet, 107 70 Stockholm.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    If you prefer public transport, you can take Bus 69 from Östermalmstorg. Board the bus towards Lidingö Centrum. After 5 stops, get off at the stop called 'Slottsbacken'. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the Royal Palace. Head down Slottsbacken towards the waterfront, then turn right to find the entrance to the palace.

  • Public Transport - Metro

    You can also take the Metro (Tunnelbana) from Östermalmstorg station. Board the Green Line (Line 14) towards Fräntorp. Change at T-Centralen to the Red Line (Line 13) towards Norsborg. Get off at Gamla Stan station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Royal Palace. Exit the station, head towards the waterfront, and walk straight until you reach the palace.
