From Lugano, you can take a train from Lugano train station to Orta San Giulio. Board the train towards Domodossola, which generally takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Orta Miasino station, exit the train and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station. Take the local bus heading towards 'Orta San Giulio' and disembark at the stop named 'Orta San Giulio - Piazza Motta'. From there, walk towards the lake and follow the waterfront until you reach the Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption, which is located at Via Caire Albertoletti. The church should be visible from the waterfront.

If you prefer to walk from Orta San Giulio - Piazza Motta, start at the square and head towards the lakefront. Walk along the waterfront promenade, enjoying the views of Lake Orta. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will find a path leading up to Via Caire Albertoletti. Follow this path, and the Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption will be on your left as you approach.
