Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Moshi Town, which is a common base for climbers heading to Kilimanjaro. Drive on the A23 road towards Arusha for approximately 45 kilometers. Once you reach the Machame Gate, you will need to pay the park entrance fee (approximately $70 per person per day for foreign tourists). After completing the entry process, follow the designated trekking routes to reach Barafu Camp. The hike from Machame Camp to Barafu Camp typically takes about 6-8 hours, depending on your pace and acclimatization.

To reach Barafu Camp using public transportation, take a daladala (shared minibus) from Moshi Town to Machame Village. The fare is usually around 2,000 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings).
