If you are in the center of Chiang Rai, start at the Clock Tower, a popular landmark. From the Clock Tower, head north on Phaholyothin Road for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Uttarakit Road. Turn left onto Uttarakit Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 1.2 kilometers, and you will see Wat Mung Muang on your right side. The temple is situated a short distance from the main road, so keep an eye out for its distinctive architecture.

To get to Wat Mung Muang by tuk-tuk, find a tuk-tuk stand in central Chiang Rai, such as near the Clock Tower. Negotiate the fare with the driver, and specify your destination as 'Wat Mung Muang on Uttarakit Road'. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly at the temple entrance, which is conveniently located off the main road.

Songthaew (Shared Taxi)
Locate a songthaew stop in the city center, typically near the Clock Tower. You can hop on a songthaew heading towards Wiang. Inform the driver that you want to go to Wat Mung Muang. The ride will cost a small fare, and the journey will take about 15-20 minutes. The songthaew will drop you off along Uttarakit Road close to the temple.
