Getting There

  • Walk

    If you are starting from the Chiang Rai Night Bazaar, head east on Thanalai Road for about 600 meters. Turn left onto Phahonyothin Road and continue north for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rop Wiang Road. Turn right onto Rop Wiang Road and walk for about 1.2 kilometers. The shrine will be on your left, marked by a distinctive entrance.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the Chiang Rai Bus Station, you can take a tuk-tuk directly to Chao Mae Kuan Im Shrine. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'WR62+J48, Tambon Rop Wiang'. The ride will take around 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey, which should be around 60-80 THB.

  • Songthaew

    Head to the main road near the Chiang Rai Bus Station and look for a songthaew (a shared taxi). Take one that is heading towards Rop Wiang.
