Songthaew
To reach Wat Saeng Kaeo Phothiyan from the center of Chiang Rai, head to the main bus terminal located on Phahonyothin Road. Look for a green songthaew (a shared taxi) that is headed towards Mae Suai District. Confirm with the driver that they are going to the temple or ask them to drop you off at Chedi Luang. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Mae Suai, you can ask locals for directions to the temple, which is about a 10-minute walk from the main road.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a tuk-tuk from the center of Chiang Rai. Head to the tuk-tuk stand near the Night Bazaar and negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Wat Saeng Kaeo Phothiyan in Mae Suai District. The ride will take about 30 minutes, and the cost should be around 200-300 Thai Baht. Make sure to agree on the price before starting your journey.
