Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Ermera, head south towards the main road (Avenida de Portugal). Follow the road until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Dili. Turn left onto Avenida de Dili. Continue walking along this road for approximately 5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and small eateries along the way, which can be a good opportunity to stop for refreshments. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you toward Dili, as you will eventually want to head towards the coast.

• Walking

  Once you reach the coastal area of Dili, you will need to navigate towards Jaco Island. From the main road, you can follow the signs indicating directions to Acrema Beach. The beach is located towards the east of Dili. Look out for any local boats offering rides to the beaches, or you can continue to walk along the shore to find your way to Acrema Beach.

• Local Transport (Public Transport)

  If you prefer not to walk the entire way, consider using a local 'microlet' (minibus). From Ermera, you can catch a microlet heading to Dili. Inform the driver that you are going to Acrema Beach, and they will drop you off at a suitable point near the beach entrance. The fare is usually very affordable, but confirm the price with the driver before you board.

• Combination of Walking and Local Transport

  Another option is to take a microlet from Ermera to Dili, and then use a local taxi or continue walking to reach Acrema Beach. Upon reaching Dili, ask locals for the nearest point to grab a taxi that can take you closer to the beach, or enjoy a scenic walk along the coast.
