For those using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from the nearest town, Kisoro, which is about 30 kilometers from the park. Once in Kisoro, ask for a matatu heading to Mushongero. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Mushongero village, you may need to hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Lake Mutanda Glampsite Porch. The boda-boda ride will cost around 10,000 UGX and will take about 10-15 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
