Walking
From the center of Ruhengeri, head south on Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 4. Keep walking along this road for approximately 8 kilometers. You will pass several small shops and local homes along the way. As you approach the entrance of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, look for the signpost indicating the park entrance.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ruhengeri. Start your journey by heading south on Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight to the roundabout, and take the second exit onto Route Nationale 4. Cycle along this road for about 8 kilometers. You will enjoy the scenic views, and you can stop at local farms or markets if you wish. Look for the signs leading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest as you approach.
Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
Find a Boda Boda station near the center of Ruhengeri. Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The driver will take you south on Avenue de la Révolution and then onto Route Nationale 4. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm that the driver knows the destination before you start your journey.
