Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the city center (like the Market Square), head southwest on St. Andrew's Street towards the roundabout. Continue straight onto King Street, then turn right onto Trinity Lane. Follow the lane until you reach the end, where you will see Trinity College on your left. Continue straight onto the Backs, a scenic walkway along the river. Walk for about 15 minutes, enjoying the views of the colleges. When you reach the end of the Backs, turn left onto Queens' Road and continue straight until you see Sidgwick Avenue on your right. Newnham College will be on Sidgwick Avenue, situated on your left-hand side, with the main entrance clearly marked.

    From the city center, you can take a bus from the Drummer Street Bus Station. Look for the bus routes heading towards 'Newnham' or 'Addenbrooke's'. Board any bus that goes through the 'Sidgwick Avenue' stop. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you get off at the Sidgwick Avenue stop, Newnham College will be a short walk away. Head down Sidgwick Avenue, and the college entrance will be on your left.

Follow Newnham Road until you see Sidgwick Avenue on your left. Newnham College will be a short distance down this road on the left.
