Car
If you are driving from central Gloucestershire, take the A40 towards Chepstow. Continue on the A40 until you reach the junction with the A466. Follow the A466 towards Chepstow, which will lead you directly into the town. Once in Chepstow, follow signs for Chepstow Castle. The castle is located at Bridge St, Chepstow NP16 5EY. There is limited parking available near the castle, and parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation
From Gloucester, you can take a train to Chepstow. Board a train from Gloucester Station heading towards Cardiff Central. After approximately 30 minutes, alight at Chepstow Station. From the station, it's about a 15-minute walk to Chepstow Castle. Exit the station and head northwest on Station Rd/A466. Continue straight onto Bridge St, and you will see the castle on your right. Note that train fares vary, so check the latest prices before your journey.

You can also take a bus service from Gloucester to Chepstow. The bus number X14 operates between the two towns. Board the bus at the Gloucester Bus Station and enjoy the scenic route. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Chepstow Bus Station, the castle is about a 10-minute walk. Head south on the High Street, turn left onto Bridge St, and Chepstow Castle will be on your left. Bus fares typically range from £5 to £10, depending on your ticket type.
