Car
If you're driving from Portree, head southwest on the A87 towards Kyle of Lochalsh. After approximately 30 miles, take the A890 towards Strathcarron. Continue on this road for about 10 miles until you reach the junction at the village of Strathcarron. Turn left onto the A896 towards Applecross. The road will take you through stunning landscapes. After approximately 10 miles, you'll arrive at Applecross. Follow the signs for Applecross Bay, which is located near the village center. Note that parking is available near the bay.

To reach Applecross Bay by public transport from Portree, take the bus to Kyle of Lochalsh. From Kyle, you can take a bus to Strathcarron. The bus service runs several times a day, but check the schedule in advance as it may vary. Once in Strathcarron, you will need to take a taxi to Applecross, as there is no direct bus service.
