Getting There

• Underground

  If you are in central London, the easiest way to reach Barts Heritage is by taking the London Underground. Start by finding the nearest Tube station and take the Central Line (the red line) towards Liverpool Street. Get off at the 'St. Paul's' station. From St. Paul's station, exit towards St. Paul's Cathedral. Once you are outside, head west along the southern edge of the cathedral towards Ludgate Hill. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Newgate Street. Turn left onto Newgate Street, and then take the first right onto Holborn Viaduct. Follow Holborn Viaduct until you reach Smithfield Market. Barts Heritage is located at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, directly adjacent to Smithfield Market.

• Bus

  For those preferring to travel by bus, you can catch a bus towards Smithfield Market from various locations in central London. Look for bus routes 25, 42, 8, or 56, which all have stops near St. Bart's Heritage. Board the bus and get off at the 'Smithfield' stop. From the bus stop, you will see the entrance to Smithfield Market. Walk through the market area, and you will find St. Bartholomew's Hospital right next to it. Follow the signs to Barts Heritage once you arrive at the hospital.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Smithfield Market, you can easily walk to Barts Heritage. Simply head towards Smithfield Market, which is a well-known landmark. Once you are at the market, look for the entrance to St. Bartholomew's Hospital, which is located right next to the market. The Barts Heritage is situated within the hospital premises. You may encounter signs directing you to the museum.
