From Manchester Piccadilly Station, take a train towards Liverpool Lime Street. The journey takes approximately 35-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Liverpool Lime Street, exit the station and head towards the main road, Lime Street. Turn left onto Lime Street and continue straight until you reach St. John's Gardens. From there, turn right onto Old Haymarket, and the Hillsborough Memorial will be on your left.

From Manchester City Centre, catch the National Express bus service towards Liverpool. The bus will take around 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Liverpool, disembark at the Liverpool One Bus Station. From there, walk towards the main road, then turn right onto Hanover Street. Continue straight until you reach Old Haymarket. The Hillsborough Memorial will be located on your right.

Take the Metrolink tram from Manchester to Altrincham and change at Altrincham for a train to Liverpool. This option combines tram and train travel and may take longer, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
