Walking
If you are starting from the city center, head south towards the Quayside. You can do this by walking down Grey Street, which will lead you to the river. Once you reach the Quayside, turn right and walk along the waterfront. Continue walking along the Quayside until you reach the iconic Sage Gateshead building, which will be on your left. The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is just a short walk further along the river. As you approach, you will see the bridge's unique design ahead. The bridge spans the River Tyne, connecting Gateshead and Newcastle.

If you're near Newcastle Central Station, you can take the Metro. Board the Metro train towards Gateshead. Get off at the Gateshead Stadium station. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk. Exit the station and head east following the signs to the River Tyne. As you walk, you will see the Sage Gateshead on your left. Continue towards the river and you will find the Gateshead Millennium Bridge just a short distance along the waterfront.
