If you are starting from Newcastle Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Neville Street). Turn right onto Neville Street and then left onto Westgate Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the A186 (Westgate Road). At the traffic lights, cross over to the other side of the road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the A186 (Blackett Street). Turn left onto Blackett Street and walk until you reach Grey Street. From Grey Street, head towards the iconic Grey’s Monument, then continue straight onto Mosley Street. Follow Mosley Street until you reach the junction with the A186 (Northumberland Road) and turn left. If you are near the Quayside area, you can take the QuayLink bus service (the Q1 or Q2 line). Board the bus in the direction of the City Centre and get off at the stop called 'Castle Garth'. From the bus stop, walk up the hill towards the castle. As you ascend, you will see the Newcastle Castle entrance at the top of the hill on your left.
