Car
From the Peak District, head southwest on the A623 towards the A6. Merge onto the A6 and continue until you reach the M62. Take the M62 towards Manchester. Continue on the M62 and take the exit for the A635(M) towards Manchester City Centre. Follow signs for the A635(M), which will lead into the inner city. Once you are in Manchester, follow signs for the Science and Industry Museum located at Liverpool Rd, Manchester M3 4JP. There is paid parking available near the museum, which may cost around £5-£10 for a few hours.

Public Transportation
From any location in the Peak District, take a bus to the nearest train station (for example, Buxton or Matlock). From Buxton, you can catch a train to Manchester Piccadilly Station. The train journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Manchester Piccadilly, exit the station and catch the Metrolink tram on the Bury line (towards Bury). Get off at the Deansgate-Castlefield stop. From there, you can walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach the Science and Industry Museum at Liverpool Rd, Manchester M3 4JP. Make sure to check the bus and train schedules as they may vary.
