From the Scottish Highlands, take the A9 southbound towards Edinburgh. Stay on the A9 for approximately 110 miles. As you approach Edinburgh, follow signs for the city center and merge onto the A720 (City Bypass). Continue on the A720, then take the exit toward A71 for the city center. Once you reach the city, follow signs for Chambers Street. The National Museum of Scotland is located at Chambers St, Edinburgh EH1 1JF. Parking is available at nearby car parks, but be aware of parking fees, which can range from £2 to £4 per hour.
