If you are driving, start from the center of Dolgellau. Head northeast on High Street/A470 towards Eldon Square. Continue to follow A470 for approximately 0.5 miles. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto A494. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Sam Helen Trail. Follow this road until you reach Hafod Y Fedw, which is located at the end of the trail. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Hafod Y Fedw via public transport, take a bus from Dolgellau to the nearby village of Llanelltyd. The bus services are operated by Arriva Cymru, and you can check the schedules online. Once you arrive in Llanelltyd, it is approximately a 1-mile walk to Hafod Y Fedw. Head southeast on A494, then turn onto Sam Helen Trail, which will lead you directly to the destination. Ensure to check the bus timings for your return trip.

For those already in Dolgellau and prefer to walk, start at the town center and take the A470 road heading northeast. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach a roundabout where you will take the second exit onto the A494. Continue for about a mile and then turn left onto Sam Helen Trail. Follow this trail until you reach Hafod Y Fedw. The walk is approximately 2 miles and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
