From Lairg, drive northwest on the A836 towards Ullapool. After approximately 22 miles, continue straight onto the A837 at the junction. Follow this road for about 10 miles until you reach a junction at Stoer. Turn left onto the B869 road. Continue along this scenic coastal road for about 3 miles until you reach the Old Man of Stoer car park, which will be on your right. There is no parking fee.

Take a bus from Lairg to Ullapool via the number 25 or 26 service. Buses run several times a day, but check the local timetable for exact times. Once you arrive in Ullapool, you will need to take a taxi to the Old Man of Stoer as public transport options to Stoer are limited. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and may cost around £30-£40. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

If you are already in the vicinity of Stoer and want to walk to the Old Man, start from the Old Man of Stoer car park. The walk to the Old Man is approximately 1.5 miles and will take about 30-45 minutes. Follow the well-marked path that leads directly to the iconic sea stack.
