If you are driving from any location in West Lothian, you can easily reach Pentland Hills Regional Park by following these steps: Take the A71 road towards Edinburgh. Continue on the A71 until you reach the junction with the A720 (City of Edinburgh Bypass). Merge onto the A720 heading south. After approximately 4 miles, take the exit for the A702 towards Biggar. Follow the A702 for about 3 miles, and then turn left onto Flotterstone Road. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will reach the entrance to Pentland Hills Regional Park at Flotterstone EH26 0PP. Parking is available on-site, but may incur a small fee depending on the area you park in.

To reach Pentland Hills Regional Park using public transport, start by taking a train from any major station in West Lothian (e.g., Livingston North or Bathgate) to Edinburgh Waverley station. From Edinburgh Waverley, exit the station and find the bus terminal. Look for the Lothian Bus service number 62, which travels towards Penicuik. Board the bus and ask the driver to stop at Flotterstone. The journey should take around 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Flotterstone, you will see signs for the park entrance. Note that you may need to check the bus timetable in advance as services may vary, and be prepared for a small fare for the bus trip.
