Bus
From the city center of Edinburgh, head to the bus stop located at 'St Andrew Square', which is a central location. Take the Lothian Buses service number 4 or 37, heading towards 'Penicuik'. The bus will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Penicuik' bus station. From there, you can take a short walk towards the Pentland Hills Path.

Once you arrive at Penicuik bus station, exit the station and turn right onto the A701 road. Walk along the A701 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the junction with the B7026 road. Continue straight onto the B7026, passing through a small residential area. After about 1 mile, you will reach an area known as Castlelaw Cottages, which is near the entrance to the Pentland Hills Path.
