Car
If you're driving, start from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. Head east on Zion Canyon Scenic Drive towards the east entrance of the park. After approximately 4.5 miles, look for the Canyon Overlook Trailhead parking area on your right. There are no fees to park at the trailhead, but you may need to pay the entrance fee to Zion National Park if you haven't done so already.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take the Zion Shuttle from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. Board the shuttle heading towards the Temple of Sinawava. However, the Canyon Overlook Trail is not directly accessible by shuttle. You will need to get off at the last stop, then either arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to the Canyon Overlook Trailhead parking area, which is about 3 miles away from the shuttle stop.

Hiking
Once you arrive at the Canyon Overlook Trailhead parking area, park your vehicle and start the hike. The trail to the overlook is about 1 mile round trip and is considered moderate in difficulty. It takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Follow the well-marked trail which includes some elevation gain and rocky sections. The views at the end are spectacular and well worth the effort!
