Keep the Basilica on your right side as you walk along the square. Continue walking straight until you reach the Via della Conciliazione, the main road leading away from the square. Cross the street carefully, and continue straight ahead for about 500 meters. After walking, you will arrive at the intersection with Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Turn left onto Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina and walk straight. Continue walking until you reach the traffic circle at Largo di Torre Argentina. From there, follow the directions to Via del Teatro di Marcello, and you will notice a set of stairs leading up to the Santa Maria in Aracoeli Basilica on your left.
