Walking
From the Vatican Necropolis, head towards the main exit of the Vatican Museums. Once you exit, turn left and walk along Viale Vaticano until you reach the intersection with Via Gregorio VII. Turn right onto Via Gregorio VII and continue straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro. From there, you can see the iconic St. Peter's Basilica. Continue walking straight, passing the basilica, and follow the path that leads to Via della Valle dei Fiori. Continue straight on this path until you reach the Tiber River. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank until you reach Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, continue onto Via di Panico. Follow this street until you reach Piazza Navona. From Piazza Navona, head towards Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, then turn left. Continue on this road until you reach Via dei Fori Imperiali, where you will find the Colosseum.

Public Transport
From the Vatican Necropolis, walk to the nearest bus stop at Via della Conciliazione. Take bus number 40 or 64, which will take you towards Termini Station. Get off at the stop 'Piazza della Repubblica' and transfer to Metro Line B (Blue Line) towards Laurentina. Travel 2 stops and get off at 'Colosseo' station. Upon exiting the station, you will immediately find yourself in front of the Colosseum.
