Walking
From the entrance of the Vatican Necropolis, head southeast towards Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight until you reach the riverbank of the Tiber River. Turn right and follow the river until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo (Saint Angel Bridge). Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, continue straight onto Lungotevere Castello. After a short walk, you will reach Piazza di San Lorenzo in Lucina. From there, take Via dei Coronari, which leads you directly towards Piazza Navona. Continue past the square, and then turn onto Via di Monte Giordano. Follow this street, and it will lead you directly to Piazza d'Aracoeli, where Insula Romana is located.

Public Transport - Bus
From the Vatican Necropolis, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via della Conciliazione. Take Bus number 87 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. After approximately 10-15 minutes, get off at the 'Piazza Venezia' stop. From there, walk towards Via del Teatro di Marcello and continue until you reach Piazza d'Aracoeli. Insula Romana will be on your left.

If you prefer to walk, exit the Vatican Necropolis and head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. Once there, walk down the steps and turn left onto Via del Plebiscito. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via di San Gregorio. Turn right on Via di San Gregorio, and follow the street until you see the Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland) in Piazza Venezia. From there, walk towards the left side of the square and take the steps up to Piazza d'Aracoeli, where you will find Insula Romana.
