Getting There

  • Walking

    From Vatican Necropolis, exit the site and head towards the Apostolic Palace. Walk towards St. Peter's Basilica and exit the square. Once you are outside, turn right onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight until you reach the bridge called Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, continue walking straight onto Lungotevere dei Fiorentini. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Garibaldi. Turn left onto Via Garibaldi and continue straight until you see the entrance to Janiculum Hill on your right.

  • Public Transport

    From Vatican Necropolis, walk to the nearest bus stop at Piazza San Pietro. Take bus number 916 towards 'Della Vittoria/San Pietro.' Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop 'Gianicolo.' From there, you will see signs directing you to the entrance of Janiculum Hill, which is just a short walk away.

    Another option is to walk directly from Vatican Necropolis. Exit the necropolis and head towards the Tiber River. Once you reach the riverbank, turn left and follow the river until you reach the Ponte Garibaldi. Cross the bridge, and upon reaching the other side, you will see the Janiculum Hill ahead.
