Walking
If you are already in Vatican Necropolis, exit the site and head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. Once outside, you should walk towards Via della Conciliazione, which is the main road leading away from the basilica. Continue walking straight along Via della Conciliazione until you reach the junction with Lungotevere de' Cenci. Turn left onto Lungotevere de' Cenci and continue walking for about 10 minutes. The Tempio Maggiore will be on your right, just before reaching the bridge.
Public Transport
From Vatican Necropolis, exit and make your way to the nearest bus stop on Via della Conciliazione. Take Bus number 87 towards 'Valle Aurelia'. After about 5 stops, get off at 'Largo di Torre Argentina'. From there, walk towards Lungotevere de' Cenci, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head southwest on Via di Torre Argentina, then turn left onto Via del Teatro Marcello, and finally turn right onto Lungotevere de' Cenci. The Tempio Maggiore will be on your left.
