Getting There

• Car

  From the main entrance of Monte Sano State Park, head south on Monte Sano Blvd. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Governors Drive (US-431). Turn right onto Governors Drive and continue for approximately 2 miles. Merge onto Memorial Parkway (US-231) and drive for about 4 miles. Take the exit for AL-53, then turn right on AL-53. Follow AL-53 for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Aldridge Creek Greenway. There is parking available near the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, take the local bus service from Monte Sano State Park to the nearest bus stop on Governors Drive. From there, transfer to a bus heading towards Huntsville city center. Get off at the stop near Memorial Parkway and take another bus heading south toward the Aldridge Creek Greenway. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for exact routes and timings. Bus fares may vary, so have some cash or a transit card ready.

• Biking/Walking

  Though it may be a bit of a trek, if you are feeling adventurous and have a bike, you can bike from Monte Sano State Park to Aldridge Creek Greenway. Follow the same car route provided above, but instead of driving, cycle along Monte Sano Blvd and then onto Governors Drive. It's approximately a 5-6 mile ride. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk, prepare for a longer journey, possibly around 2 hours, keeping in mind the need to navigate through roads safely.
