Yaki Point, situated on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, provides visitors with a unique and breathtaking perspective of this natural wonder. From this vantage point, you can see the end of the Bright Angel Trail to the west, as well as a section of the Tonto Trail and much of the South Kaibab Trail as it descends along Cedar Ridge and O'Neill Butte. To the east, the views encompass Cremation Creek and the mesas surrounding Clear Creek on the North Rim. Sunrises and sunsets are particularly memorable here, painting the canyon walls in vibrant hues. Originally named Yaki Trail, the South Kaibab Trail began construction near Yaki Point in 1925. In 1931, the construction of the East Rim Drive, now known as Desert View Drive, increased accessibility to Yaki Point. To reduce pollution and overcrowding, private vehicles are no longer permitted on the road to Yaki Point.
