    From the Grand Canyon Village, start at the Visitor Center located at 10 Village Loop Drive. Exit the Visitor Center and head northwest on Village Loop Drive. Follow the signs toward Bright Angel Lodge, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Once you reach Bright Angel Lodge, take a moment to enjoy the views of the canyon. Then, from Bright Angel Lodge, walk towards the Bright Angel Trailhead located just behind the lodge. The Bright Angel Trail is a well-marked path that descends into the canyon. Follow the trail for about 1 mile until you reach the first major junction at the 1½ Mile Resthouse. Continue to follow the Bright Angel Trail, which eventually leads you to the Black Bridge. The total hiking distance from the Grand Canyon Village to Black Bridge is approximately 3 miles one way, so be prepared for a round trip of about 6 miles. Don't forget to bring plenty of water and snacks, as the trail can be strenuous!
