Experience Powell Point

Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, head east on the paved path that runs along the South Rim. You will follow the Rim Trail, which is well-marked and offers stunning views along the way. Continue walking for about 1.2 miles until you reach the Yavapai Geology Museum. From there, continue along the Rim Trail. After about another half mile, you will see a sign directing you to Powell Point. Follow the signs for another 0.3 miles, and you will reach Powell Point, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Grand Canyon.

  • Shuttle Bus

    Catch the free shuttle bus from the Grand Canyon Village area. Look for the Blue Line shuttle, which services the Hermit Road area. Board the shuttle and ride it to the Hermits Rest stop. Once you get off, you will need to walk back along the trail towards Powell Point. The walk will take approximately 0.5 miles. Follow the signs for Powell Point which will guide you along the well-maintained path.
