From the California Lighthouse, walk southeast towards the dunes. Follow the marked paths. The walking distance is short, approximately 1 kilometer, but be prepared for soft, sandy terrain.

From California Lighthouse, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 1. Take the local bus heading towards Noord. Get off at the stop closest to the California Sand Dunes (ask the driver for the correct stop if unsure). Once you get off, walk approximately 1 kilometer following the signs towards the dunes. Be prepared for a short walk on sandy terrain. The bus fare is typically around $2.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Noord. A short taxi ride from the California Lighthouse or nearby hotels to the California Sand Dunes will cost approximately $10-$15. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Driving
From California Lighthouse, head southeast on the main road (Route 1) towards Noord. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 2. Turn left onto Route 2 and continue for about 2.5 kilometers. You will see signs directing you towards the California Sand Dunes. Follow these signs, and after another 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the parking area near the dunes. Parking is free.
