Discover more about Grapefield Beach

Grapefield Beach presents a different side of Aruba, one characterized by its raw natural beauty and tranquility. Located on the island's eastern coast, just north of Boca Grandi, this 600-meter stretch of shoreline offers a serene escape from the more crowded resort beaches. The beach is known for its soft, white sand and the cliffs that border its one side, creating a unique combination of coastal landscapes. Unlike the calm, shallow waters of Aruba's western beaches, Grapefield's waters are more dynamic, with stronger waves and currents shaped by the constant trade winds. Swimming and snorkeling are generally not recommended here due to these conditions; however, the beach is a popular spot for experienced surfers and windsurfers who come to take advantage of the consistent waves. Grapefield Beach is also appealing because of its relative seclusion. It requires a bit more effort to reach than other beaches, which helps to keep the crowds away. The landscape features some wooden shacks used by surfers, remnants of sea grape plants that once thrived here, and views of the Vader Piet Wind Farm to the north. The beach is ideal for picnics, beachcombing, and enjoying the scenery. Visitors should bring their own supplies, as there are no amenities available.
