Car
From Mount Field National Park, head south on Gordon River Rd towards the A10. Continue on Gordon River Rd for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with the A10. Turn left onto the A10 (Huon Highway) and proceed for approximately 22 kilometers. You will then reach the turnoff to Hartz Mountains National Park, which is well signposted. Follow the signs for another 7 kilometers until you arrive at the park entrance. Be aware that parking fees may apply, so have some cash handy.

To reach Hartz Mountains National Park using public transportation, you will first need to catch a bus from Mount Field National Park to Huonville. Buses operate regularly from the park to Huonville, where you will need to transfer. Once in Huonville, look for a bus service that goes towards the Hartz Mountains area.
