Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Central Station in Sydney, take the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line train towards Waterfall Station. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Waterfall Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the bus stop. You will need to catch the 991 bus towards Bundeena. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Wattamolla' stop. From the bus stop, follow the walking path to the Wattamolla picnic area, which is about a 10-minute walk away.

  • Walking and Public Transport Combination

    If you prefer to walk part of the way, you can take a train to Cronulla Station (T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line). From Cronulla, catch the ferry to Bundeena. This ferry ride takes about 20 minutes and offers beautiful views. Once in Bundeena, you can either walk to Wattamolla, which is approximately a 5-kilometer walk along the coast, or take the 991 bus from Bundeena to Wattamolla, which takes about 10 minutes.

    If you are comfortable riding a bicycle, you can take the train to Waterfall Station. From Waterfall Station, there are bike paths leading to the Royal National Park.
