Walking
From the center of Hallstatt, head towards the lakeside promenade (Seepromenade). Walk along the promenade until you reach the end, where you'll see the funicular railway station (Hallstatt Salzberg). Take the funicular up to the top station. Once you exit the funicular, follow the signs leading to the World Heritage Spiral (Welterbespirale). It’s a short walk from the top of the funicular, and the spiral is well-marked along the path.

From Hallstatt, make your way to the local bus stop near the town center. Take the bus to Obertraun am Hallstättersee (the bus ride takes about 10 minutes). Once you arrive at Obertraun, disembark at the bus stop closest to the World Heritage Spiral. Follow the signs directing you to the Welterbespirale, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
