From the center of Hallstatt, head towards the lakeside promenade (Seepromenade). Walk along the promenade until you reach the end, where you'll see the funicular railway station (Hallstatt Salzberg). Take the funicular up to the top station. Once you exit the funicular, follow the signs leading to the World Heritage Spiral (Welterbespirale). It’s a short walk from the top of the funicular, and the spiral is well-marked along the path.
