Perched at 2,740 meters on the Dachstein massif, the Seethalerhütte is the highest mountain hut in Upper Austria. Rebuilt between 2016 and 2018, this modern refuge offers stunning panoramic views and a base for exploring the Dachstein glacier and surrounding peaks.

Cable Car & Hiking
The most common approach involves taking the Dachstein Südwandbahn cable car from Ramsau am Dachstein to the mountain station. From the mountain station, follow the well-marked glacier trail towards the Seethalerhütte. The hike is roughly 1.7 km and takes about 1 hour. Be prepared for high-altitude conditions and glacier terrain. Cable car tickets cost around €49.50 for adults for a single ascent/descent [prices may vary] and parking at the base of the cable car is available. The toll road to the cable car station is free for cable car guests. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the Seethalerhütte.
