If you are driving, start from the center of Karwendel. Navigate to the B177 road and head south towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Continue on B177 for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Garmisch-Partenkirchen, follow the signs to Zugspitze, which will take you onto the B2. After about 5 kilometers, look for signs to Zugspitzbahn or the cable car station, where you can park your car. Be aware that parking fees may apply, usually around €5-€10 per day.

For those using public transport, take a train from the nearest station in Karwendel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Garmisch-Partenkirchen station, exit the station and take the bus (line 726 or 9606) towards the Zugspitzbahn terminal. The bus ride lasts about 15-20 minutes. Be sure to have a valid ticket which costs around €3.50 for a one-way trip.
