There is parking available nearby, but be aware that there may be a parking fee, typically around €5-€10 for the day.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from the nearest station in Karwendel to the Ehrwald train station. You may need to transfer at the larger station in Reutte, so check the regional train schedule for exact connections. Once you arrive at Ehrwald station, exit and catch bus number 96 towards 'Ehrwald - Zugspitzbahn'. The bus will take you directly to the Tyrolean Zugspitze Cable Car station at Obermoos 1. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes. Keep some coins handy for the bus fare, which is around €3-€4.
