From the Salzburg city center (e.g., near the Salzburg Cathedral), follow signs towards the Mönchsberg. The path to the Schartenmauer involves a moderate uphill walk through the Mönchsberg park. Alternatively, from Nonntal, walk northeast on Nonntaler Hauptstraße, taking the path uphill to the right at the fork in the road. Follow signs to the Schartenmauer. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes from Nonntal.

To reach Lodronsche Stadtbefestigung (Schartenmauer) by public transportation, take a bus to the Salzburg city center. From there, follow the walking directions. Single ride tickets within the core zone of Salzburg cost from € 2.40. A 24-hour ticket for the core zone costs from € 4.90.

Parking
If driving, head towards Salzburg city center. The Altstadtgarage (Mönchsberg) is a large underground parking garage located directly in the Mönchsberg. From the garage, take the Mönchsberg lift or walk to the Schartenmauer. Parking rates start at approximately €31 per day. The garage is located at Hildmannplatz and is open 24 hours daily.
