Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From the city center, take the Baku Metro to Icherisheher station. From there, you can walk uphill for approximately 20-30 minutes to reach the Alley of Martyrs and the mosque. Alternatively, several buses, including bus number 31 from Nizami garden on Nizami Street, will take you directly to the Alley of Martyrs. Other buses such as №5, 88, and 125 will take you to the funicular, which you can use to get up to the alley. A single metro or bus fare costs 0.40 AZN.

    A scenic way to reach the Alley of Martyrs is via the Baku Funicular. The lower station is located near the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum on Neftchilar Avenue. The funicular operates from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 - 13:00 & 14:00 - 20:00 (closed on Mondays). A one-way ticket costs 1 AZN. From the upper station, it's a short walk to the Alley of Martyrs.
