Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Sapareva Banya. Head southeast on the road towards the Rila Monastery, and then take the right turn towards the Seven Rila Lakes area. Follow the road until you reach the parking area at the base of the Seven Rila Lakes. Parking fees may apply, generally around 10-15 BGN for a day's parking. From the parking lot, take the marked hiking trail that leads to the Seven Rila Lakes. Lake Peak is accessible from the highest lake, which is about a 2-3 hour hike uphill from the lakes.

Public Transport
To reach Lake Peak using public transportation, take a bus from Sofia to Sapareva Banya. Buses run regularly, with the journey taking approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Sapareva Banya, you can either take a taxi to the Seven Rila Lakes starting point or, if you're feeling adventurous, hike the 10 km from Sapareva Banya to the lakes. The hike will take around 3-4 hours. After reaching the Seven Rila Lakes, follow the hiking trail to Lake Peak, which takes an additional 2-3 hours.
