Hiking
From the Giant Forest Visitor Center, head south on the Generals Highway (also known as CA-198). After approximately 1.5 miles, you will see a sign for the Big Baldy Ridge Trailhead on your right. The trailhead is located at 63410 Generals Hwy. The hike to the trailhead is scenic, with views of towering sequoias and the surrounding mountains. Ensure you have appropriate hiking gear and plenty of water.

Public Transport / Shuttle
If you're near the Lodgepole Visitor Center, take the Sequoia Shuttle, which operates during peak season. Board the shuttle heading towards the Giant Forest. Once you arrive at the Giant Forest stop, follow the trail south along the Generals Highway for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Big Baldy Ridge Trailhead, located at 63410 Generals Hwy.
