If you're traveling by car, start on CA-99 N from your location in Sierra Nevada. Merge onto CA-198 E towards Visalia. Follow CA-198 E for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with CA-65 N. Take CA-65 N for about 10 miles and then merge onto CA-198 E again. Continue on CA-198 E for approximately another 20 miles until you reach the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Pay the park entrance fee, which is about $35 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the Big Stump Grove, located off the Generals Highway. Look for the Big Stump Grove parking area on your left.

If you're using public transportation, take a Greyhound or Amtrak bus to Visalia, CA. From Visalia, you can catch the Sequoia Shuttle, which operates seasonally and can take you into Sequoia National Park. Ensure you check the shuttle schedule ahead of time for the season you are visiting. Once you arrive at the park, you will need to transfer to a park shuttle or use your own means to reach the Big Stump Grove area. Note that you will have to pay the park entrance fee of about $35.
