Getting There

    From the Yosemite Valley Lodge or Camp 4, walk towards the Upper Yosemite Falls Trailhead located in Camp 4. Follow the signs for the Upper Yosemite Falls Trail. The trail immediately begins a steep ascent via switchbacks. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles to reach Columbia Rock. The hike is strenuous with an elevation gain of about 1,000 feet. There are no fees associated with hiking to Columbia Rock beyond the park entrance fee.

    Take the free Yosemite Valley shuttle to the Camp 4 / Yosemite Falls Trailhead stop. From the shuttle stop, walk to the trailhead located in the Camp 4 campground. Follow the Upper Yosemite Falls Trail. The hike to Columbia Rock is approximately 1.5 miles and involves a steep climb. The Yosemite Valley shuttle is free.
