Shuttle Bus
From Yosemite Village, walk to the nearest shuttle bus stop. Look for the yellow shuttle bus that goes to Mammoth Lakes. Board the bus, and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you reach Mammoth Lakes, get off at the stop labeled 'Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge.' From there, you can catch a local shuttle that goes to Devils Postpile National Monument. The shuttle runs frequently, so wait for the next bus and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and in good shape, you can hike to Devils Postpile National Monument. Start at the Happy Isles trailhead in Yosemite Valley. Follow the Mist Trail until you reach the junction with the John Muir Trail. Continue on the John Muir Trail for about 7 miles until you reach the Devils Postpile. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the hike, and allow about 4-5 hours for this journey, with time for breaks and enjoying the scenery.

Bicycle Rental
You can rent a bicycle in Yosemite Village. Once you have your bike, head east on the bike path that leads toward the Valley exit. Follow the signs towards Mammoth Lakes. The ride will take you through beautiful landscapes and is about 30 miles long. Be sure to take breaks, enjoy the surroundings, and take pictures. When you arrive in Mammoth Lakes, follow the signs to the bus stop for the shuttle to Devils Postpile National Monument.
